• Vidor v. City of Oakland Community & Economic Development Agency, successfully defended commercial landlord against tenant claims that rental property was subject to Oakland Rent Control Ordinance in administrative hearing, defeated tenant appeal to Oakland Rent Control Board, defeated tenant Petition for Writ of Mandate before Superior Court, and prevailed on tenant appeal to California Court of Appeal, First Appellate District.
• Urban Pacific Properties v. Embarcadero Vista, in binding AAA arbitration successfully defended against claim that defendant had wrongfully terminated joint venture agreement to build condominium complex.
• Delta Court Apartments, LLC v. Waiulili, LLC, in binding JAMS arbitration successfully prosecuted claim against real estate developer that it breached a “best efforts” contract provision to obtain tentative subdivision approval to subdivide two 174 acre parcels of property on the Big Island of Hawaii into eight 40 acre lots.
• Turner Construction Company v. Swig, et al. in San Francisco Superior Court won summary judgment in favor of defendants on alter ego claim arising out of planned high rise construction project.
• Synapsis, LLC v. Evergreen Data Systems, Inc., et al. in United States District Court, Northern District – San Jose Division, won summary judgment in favor of defendant accounting company on breach of contract claim based on alter ego allegations.
• Holden v. Hagopian, 978 F.2d 1115 (9th Cir. 1992) successfully argued before Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals that general partnership interest in horse breeding partnership did not constitute securities under federal securities laws.
